What to bring on the in-person training day
- - Mess kit (or plastic bowl, plate, and mug) and utensils
  - Wind bag (formerly called a dunk bag) or a mesh stocking bag used in the washing machine
  - Water bottle, filled
  - Bandana. If your hair is long, hair ties, too.
  - Pocket Knife
  - Camp chair (or folding chair) benches are mighty uncomfortable after a while
  - Pen and paper for taking notes
  - Snacks, if desired
  - Sunscreen for sunny weather
  - Warm blanket or throw for colder weather (optional)
